Indigo Slate supported the development of an interactive PowerPoint guide to be used by retail pros to learn about Microsoft Accessory's products by pillar and understand product features, benefits, and specifications.
As the lead designer on this account for nearly a year, I led the project kickoff to onboard my creative director and junior designer. My creative lead crafted the content strategy and left me in charge of art direction, which allowed me to present our conceptual and design rationale directly to the client and representatives from third-party retailers. After the initial concept was locked down, I assisted with implementation, provided guidance to the junior designer to ensure visual polish, and investigated potential usability issues.

At the end of the project, we produced over 60 unique slides with limited, yet smooth, animation. Our client was thrilled with the approach, and our simplified version of the presentation provided third-party retailers with the flexibility to localize copy for use outside of North America without having animation issues.
This project was easily one of the most ambitious uses of PowerPoint I’ve ever worked on. The visual design was elegant, provided information in a digestible manner, and provided me with a deeper understanding of the tools available in PowerPoint. While I appreciate the quality we achieved, I would personally not propose anything this robust if I were presented with this task again. Instead, I'd advise an even simpler approach to motion given that web development was not an option.
